B-International WP 2: LUMS Staff Trained on Internationalisation Strategies
On the 3rd and 4th of May 2023, the Office of International Affairs co-delivered a training on Internationalisation Strategies to LUMS staff members, alongside partners from the B-International Consortium. The hybrid training was held at the Centres of Internationalisation at all 4 partners in Pakistan (NUST, COMSATS and PIFD), where we were also virtually joined by our partners from Cardiff Metropolitan University and the University of Bologna.
This first training, out of a series of four, was designed to explore methodologies in internationalisation strategy such as development, implementation, communication methods and evaluation techniques. We were joined by staff from various departments and schools, who continuously engaged with the training exercises and provided valuable feedback.
The training was divided into 4 blocks, delivered over 2 days, with each Pakistani partner taking the lead on one block. Through the hybrid mode, participants from all four universities were able to share their perspective and experiences with one another. We were delighted to see how active and engaged the participants remained, especially during the training activities.
As a part of the B-International Project, the capacity building of staff members across LUMS is a key objective for the OIA. With our learnings from the first training we hope to deliver increasingly relevant trainings to all interested staff members, and in doing so facilitate an international campus that can host and train students, faculty, researchers and academic staff from all over the world.
