Aga Khan University, Karachi

Founded in 1983, Aga Khan University is Pakistan’s first private, not-for-profit research university. Its main campus is in Karachi, with additional campuses and programmes in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Afghanistan, and the United Kingdom. AKU consists of teaching hospitals and several faculties and institutes, including the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and the Institute for Educational Development, with programmes including educational development, medicine, and nursing.
