Expanding Global Connections: LUMS Outreach in the GCC Region

OIA

The Office of International Affairs (OIA), along with colleagues from the Office of Advancement and the Summer School team, recently concluded a successful outreach visit to the GCC region, aimed at strengthening partnerships and expanding international engagement.

The delegation participated in two major higher education events: the three-day Najah Education Expo held at the World Trade Centre, Dubai, and the UniConnect Expo in Riyadh. Both events brought together leading universities, school counselors, and students from across the region, providing a valuable platform for LUMS to showcase its academic excellence, scholarship opportunities, and vibrant campus life.

LUMS received strong interest from international students, particularly in the Management Science and Engineering programmes, reflecting the university’s growing global reputation for innovation, academic rigour, and leadership development.

In addition to the expos, the team also conducted targeted school visits and counselor meetings in Dubai and Riyadh, engaging directly with educators, students, and parents to discuss academic offerings and pathways to admission. These engagements highlighted LUMS’ continued commitment to internationalisation and its dedication to fostering educational exchange and collaboration across borders.

Through these outreach efforts, LUMS continues to build bridges with the international community, strengthening its presence in the GCC and reaffirming its vision of global impact, diversity, and inclusion.
