The OIA recently hosted a delegation from Education in Ireland, marking a significant opportunity for academic and research partnerships. The delegation, representing prestigious Irish institutions, met with the Office of International Affairs along with the Office of Advancement to discuss potential collaborations aimed at enriching educational exchanges and research initiatives.

The delegation was led by Dr. Afra Sajjad, Consultant for Education in Ireland, and Nick Marmion, Lead for Middle East and Africa at Education in Ireland. Accompanying them were distinguished representatives from various Irish universities: Dr. Muhammad Sajid and Nusrat Bashir from University College Dublin, Bridget Carey from Maynooth University, Periye Bisina from Dublin City University, Michael Galvin from the National College of Ireland, and Karl Turley from University of Shannon.

This productive meeting explored avenues for student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and academic programs. It highlighted a mutual dedication to enhancing cross-cultural learning and expanding academic opportunities between LUMS and Ireland’s leading institutions.
