Dr. Raza Saeed is Associate Professor of Law at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. Dr. Saeed’s expertise and publications span across public international law, law & development, (post) colonial state formation, and legal-political theory, particularly in the context of developing countries. As a researcher and project manager, he has extensive experience of working with international organisations, public sector bodies and academic institutions in the UK and Pakistan. At Warwick, he has convened and taught postgraduate and undergraduate modules on Human Rights Law, Governance, International Law and Legal Research.
Dr. Saeed has served as the Director of Advanced Legal Studies, Director for LLM International Development Law & Human Rights, and the Director for Student Experience and Progression at Warwick Law School. He has previously been a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Law and Politics, Cardiff University, UK, and a Visiting Scholar at the Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law, Spain. Dr. Saeed also holds a Fellowship of the UK Higher Education Academy (Advance HE). In 2023, he was elected as a Board Member and Trustee of the Socio-Legal Studies Association, which is a leading international forum for socio-legal scholars.
